The workshops

Skusonaut is a hands-on working engagement for experienced designers who want to turn years of skill into a real, independent business. We focus on clarity, concrete offers, and practical setup—through live working sessions, not theory or long-term consulting.

Intro call (Free)

Time duration: 30 minutes

Purpose:
Confirm fit, align on goals, and decide whether working sessions make sense.
This is a conversation—not a pitch.

What we cover:

  • Your current situation (work, income, constraints, timeline)

  • What’s pulling you toward independence right now

  • The skills and experience you suspect are underutilized

  • What you’ve already tried (and what stalled)

  • What a “successful outcome” would look like in the next 30–60 days

What you’ll leave with:

  • A clear recommendation: move forward, pause, or take a different path

  • An honest read on whether a short engagement can actually help

  • A high-level direction for what we’d work on if we proceed

What this is not:

  • A strategy presentation

  • A sales call with pressure

  • Free consulting disguised as discovery

Workshop 1: Business Definition

Time duration: 1 hour

The first workshop is about clarity.

Before tools, systems, or execution, we need to be precise about what this business actually is — and just as importantly, what it is not. Many experienced designers have strong instincts but are carrying too many half-formed ideas at once. This session narrows the field and turns intuition into a clear, sellable direction.

Together, we identify the specific problem you’re solving, who it’s for, and why you’re the right person to solve it. We shape a concrete service or productized offering that reflects your experience, not a generic version of what everyone else is selling.

This session focuses on defining:

  • The core problem your business addresses

  • The type of customer you’re best suited to help

  • The outcome you deliver (not just the activity)

  • A clear offer that someone can say yes to

  • Early pricing and scope boundaries

What you leave with

  • A clear business direction

  • A defined, sellable offer

  • A strong point of view on who you’re for (and who you’re not)

  • Initial pricing and scope guardrails

  • Language you can confidently use to explain what you do

Workshop 2: Operations & Systems

Time duration: 1 hour

The second workshop turns that defined business into something operational.

This is where we move from what you’re selling to how the business functions day to day. Instead of guessing or over-engineering, we design a simple operating system that supports your work and removes unnecessary friction.

We map the full flow of the business from first contact through delivery, follow-up, and payment. We decide how work enters the system, how decisions get made, where information lives, and what needs to happen consistently for the business to run smoothly.

This session focuses on:

  • How leads come in and get handled

  • How work is qualified, scheduled, and delivered

  • What your single source of truth should be

  • Which parts of the workflow should stay manual

  • What can be automated safely using existing tools (often with automation platforms like Zapier)

What you leave with

  • A clear end-to-end operating flow

  • A minimal, realistic tool stack

  • Defined workflows for intake, delivery, and follow-up

  • A simple automation plan to reduce manual work

  • A business concept that can accept and deliver
